About Heart + Hand Safety Training
Heart + Hand Safety Training provides premium, nurse-led emergency certification classes across Middle Tennessee. Taught by local nurses in a supportive environment, our American Health & Safety Institute approved courses combine flexible blended learning with hands-on, scenario-based practice in small groups. Every class complies fully with OSHA and industry-specific standards, delivering a two-year certification that ensures you and your team meets regulatory demands. We believe that practice builds confidence, confidence creates action, and action saves lives. Our students leave empowered, prepared, and ready to respond to real-life emergencies.

BLS Provider Course
First Aid Course
Acquire essential First Aid skills for actual emergencies. Participants will learn how to evaluate an emergency situation, manage bleeding, respond to allergic reactions, poisonings, seizures, and strokes, as well as treat wounds, burns, injuries, and other prevalent medical conditions.
CPR Course

Learn lifesaving, high-quality, universal CPR for adults, children and infants. Our classes are open to everyone, regardless of experience level. We teach you the skills and knowledge needed to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies.
BLS Provider Course
BLS Provider Course
BLS - Basic Life Support - is advanced CPR designed for healthcare professionals. Classes include in-person training, skills evaluation, opioid overdose & choking training with same-day certification. There is no separate certification exam fee.
Skills Check ONLY
Ready to demonstrate your skills? This session is for individuals who have already completed CPR/BLS training but not the hands-on evaluation. Participants are provided the opportunity to demonstrate competency, receive instructor feedback and complete a skills evaluation. Available every Wednesday and every third Saturday of the month.

Specifically tailored to teach the youth and caregivers essentials pediatric first aid, choking rescue, and infant/child CPR. Other topics include emergency response to allergic reactions, basic wound care and safety protocols. Ideal for individuals ages 11-16. Available every third Saturday of the month
